An Indigene of Oyo State, from Igbeti-Okeogun to be precise, Enoch Adegoke is officially the fastest man in the world so far this year.
This is based on the official listing by World Athletics, after the 21 years old’s tremendous 10.16 seconds run at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) All-Comers competition recently held at the Sports Ground of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, last Saturday.
The Igbeti native is the first sprinter in the world to break the 10.20 seconds in the first month of the year and he leads five other Nigerians in the World 100m top 10 rankings.
