Oyo Govt Releases Telephone Number to Assess Govt’s Performance

The Seyi Makinde-led Oyo State administration has released ten telephone numbers to be used to get feedback from state residents and gauge the performance of the incumbent administration in the state


Dr Wasiu Olatubosun, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, revealed this to reporters in Ibadan, stating that the initiative was part of the open governance policy of the State government and its willingness to include the citizens in policymaking.



The ten telephone numbers are:

08177190628, 08177198874, 08177190689, 08177190654, 08177190627, 08177190605, 08177190681, 08177190678, 08177190620, and 08177190611.



In his words: “This move is in furtherance of the open governance policy of the Engr. Seyi Makinde-led administration to always put the people first, remember that the people’s yearnings are the pivot, upon which the State’s budgetary focus is placed, we seek the opinions of the people across the State annually on their needs. The government use the aggregated views to formulate its policies and programs.



“There also exist other areas through which the State government get information in the form of feedback from our people; however, we are determined to move the seat and power of governance to the people the more, which necessitated the need for these telephone numbers, with which our people can relate with government, say what they like about the workings of the government programs, policies and actions as well as bring our attention to the areas that need focusing upon.”

The Commissioner also said that the key programs of the Seyi Makinde administration in Oyo State in agro-economic development, free health and education, sustainable security of lives and properties and promotion of e-commerce would be achieved, with the interest of the State residents at heart.


Advising members of the public, he said they should maximally utilise the platform to communicate their opinions and grade the performance of the present administration and identify areas that require the utmost attention in the State to achieve the desired level of progression and portray the state as the pacesetter to the desire of all.
