#JusticeForOtunlaBlessing: Corpse of Oyo Indigene, Graduate of UNIABUJA Discovered In Trench




The corpse of Blessing Otunla, a native of Oyo state and who graduated from the department of English, University of Abuja (UniAbuja) has been found in the drain.


The late Blessing travelled to Abuja from Oyo State to get her certificate and transcript of results.

Her naked corpse was discovered during this last weekend in a drain at Iddo Sarki village, Airport Road. According to reports she was raped and killed.

She hails from Irawo in the Atisbo local government area of Oyo state, a resident of Saki.


With the hashtag #JusticeForOtunlaBlessing, Friends, colleagues and other concerned Nigerians have been clamouring for justice and critical investigation into the rape-murder of the Late Blessing.


Following the news, the Federal Capital Territory Police Command has initiated an investigation into the murder of Otunla Blessing, who was killed by unknown assailants.


The Central Police Command announced this in a statement made available to newsmen by the Command’s spokesperson, Yusuf Mariam, on Monday.

According to Yusuf Mariam, the commissioner of police, Bala Ciroma ordered a full-scale investigation into the crime and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.

The statement read, “The FCT Police Command condemns in totality the murder of one Blessing Otunla a former student of the University of Abuja, whose body was found along Iddo Village axis and was killed by unknown assailants.

“Consequently, the Commissioner of Police CP. Bala Ciroma has ordered a full-scale investigation into the unfortunate incident and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators while commiserating with the family of the deceased.

“The Command implores residents to report all suspicious movements, emergency or distress, through these numbers: 08032003913, 08061581938, 07057337653, 08028940883, and to report the conduct of Police Officers, call the Public Complaint Bureau (PCB) number: 09022222352.”
