Ventura Mall sealed for Environmental Pollution

Ventura Mall was sealed up by Oyo state ministry of environment and natural resources for violation of environmental regulations

Officials of the Ministry of Environment told pressmen that the renowned shopping facility was sealed on the basis of breach in some environmental regulations

Notable on offences of the mall include the discharge of “raw liquid waste water to public drain.”

Officials defined “Raw liquid waste water as untreated waste from sewage tank discharged to the public drain.”

It is believed that the heavy presence of this sewage in public drains will negatively affect public health and may affect the quality of life leading to water borne diseases.
