Followers of Sunday Igboho have created a Gofundme page to raise £100,000 (N51.8m) for the purchase of buses to execute his forceful eviction of the Fulani killer herdsmen, in the SouthWest.
The fundraiser which was initiated by Maureen Badejo, a blogger and an activist in the United Kingdom, had £9,320 (N4.8 m) in 15 hours.
On checking the Gofundme page, it revealed that most of the donors were Yorubas.
Sidikat Tope Olufowobi donated £200. She had this to say, “I donated because I am a Yoruba woman and want peace in my part of the country.”
Kunle Makinwa, who donated £50, had this to say, “I am an Oodua token (thoroughly). We will get (sic) by the grace of God Almighty.”
Another donor who donated £50, who was identified as Tolulope Akinmuyisitan, had this to say, “I have donated my quota”.
