Sunday Igboho Directed Hoodlums to Attack Us, Destroy Properties – Seriki Fulani

The Seriki Fulani of Oyo state, Alhaji Saliu Abubakar has accused Mr Sunday Igboho of initiating the attack on the Fulanis in Igangan, Ibarapa North Area of Oyo State.

Alhaji Abubakar made this claim when the Executive Assistant to Governor Makinde on Security Matters, Mr Sunday Odukoya, visited him at his Seriki Alagolo residence in Igan-gan, Ibarapa North.

The visit is coming on the heels of the attack on the Fulani region that allegedly left 2 dead and others injured.

One of his sons who acted as the Seriki’s spokesman claimed that Sunday Igoho initiated the attack on the Fulanis, threatening them and serving them a week ultimatum to vacate the southwestern region of Nigeria or face the consequences of their disobedience.

According to the Seriki’s report, several people sustained varying degrees of injuries after they were attacked by the invaders while about nine huts were also razed.

Meanwhile, Odukoya appealed to the Fulanis on behalf of the state government to be law-abiding and not take laws into their hands with any form of retaliation attack and promised that the matters shall be investigated in due course.

Mr Odukoya went to the scene where houses and other properties were set on fire by the Invaders. He also visited some victims of the attacks in the hospitals to verify the level of their injuries and to deliver the state government message.

But, no life was lost during the attack, as opposed to the reports from other media sources.
