The number of Federal institutions in Oyo has increased major thanks to President Muhammadu Buhari as he approves the establishment of a new Federal Polytechnic in Ayede, Ogo-Oluwa Local Government Area, Ogbomoso of Oyo State.
This was made known via a letter addressed to Governor Seyi Makinde, signed by Arc. Sonny S.T. Echono, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education.
The letter stipulated, an approval by President Buhari of a take-off grant worth N2 billion for the new Polytechnic from the “funding resources of TETFund for the provision of core facilities for immediate take-off.”
“Also, a technical team from Federal Ministry of Education and the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) will soon visit your state to identify the site in Ayede, Ogo-Oluwa L.G.A. and assess its readiness for commencement of academic activities October 2021,” the letter read.
