OYRTMA Officers Get New Uniforms and Operation Kits From Makinde

Brand new uniforms and operational kits were provided by the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, to Officers of the Oyo State Road Transport Management Authority (OYRTMA).
This is part of the fulfillment of the pledge by the State Government in making them the most effective traffic agencies in the Nation.
Mogaji (Dr.) Akin Fagbemi, Executive Chairman, in his speech during the provision of the uniforms to all Officers at the Administrative Headquarters of the Authority, said, “this is in furtherance of the Governor Seyi Makinde administration’s commitment to supporting the Authority in all ways possible to reposition it for better service delivery to the good people of Oyo State in 2021 and beyond.
“It is worthy to note that the last time uniforms and kits were provided for this Officers was nearly a decade ago as most officers and men of the Authority had hitherto been purchasing the official regalia with their funds which of course does not depict a good appreciation of the humanitarian service of traffic management been rendered,” he said.
Further adding, he said, “the era of being poorly clad while on active duty is over. Any officer caught not properly and neatly dressed would subsequently be subjected to disciplinary panels with grievous sanctions. We, therefore, thank His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for deeming it fit to approve the procurement of such an important operational tool, which includes reflective jackets, crested vests, caps, and other components of the official regalia. He has once again boosted the morale of the officers and men of the Authority, and I can assure you as we look inward 2021, our operational policies and strategies would be further enhanced to meet the current challenges of traffic being experienced across the State, particularly in Ibadan Metropolis”, he said.
