Ex Media Aide to Ajimobi, Elder Kayode Bamiduro, has cried woes to the present security problems plaguing the state. Calling the State Governor to tackle the issues accordingly.
Giving his statement in Ibadan, Elder Bamiduro criticized the surging occurrences of banditry, looting, kidnapping, and other criminal activities in the state, labelling it as highly disturbing and embarrassing to Makinde’s Government.
It was high time for Makinde to place politics in one corner and execute all crucial actions to eliminate this criminal culture before it becomes a monster.
The former media aide further said that it wouldn’t be deemed abnormal at this point of emergency for Makinde to duplicate the system accepted by his predecessor, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, to thwart these crimes, who may have treated the simplicity of the Governor with levity; hence thinking they can commit any crime they like.
These hoodlums have committed numerous destruction: mounting roadblocks and extorting money from motorists, passers-by, looting, daylight robberies, land grabbing, and many more. Elder said.
He further advised that the staff of Amotekun should go through integrity training in other to strengthen their execution of duties, and there should be a collaboration between them and other security arms of the Government.
He ended his opinion by saying that Oyo state was home to peace during the eight years that Ajimobi was the governor due to strict security within the State’s borders. He further charged Makinde to change his security tactics; if not, his state won’t taste what peace feels like.
Condemning a recent report where a Mogaji was allegedly negotiating with hoodlums and pleading with them to stop their criminal activities, Elder described the action as ludicrous and ridiculous.
