Oyo state government launches e-governance platform

The governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, this afternoon inaugurated 1,108 computers to be used for the automation of activities in the various ministries, departments and agencies MDAs in Oyo state.

The governor made this known on his official Twitter handle where he stated that necessary internet infrastructures have been provided to support communications between MDAs with or without internet access.

Governor Seyi Makinde also stressed that there are more processes in the pipeline towards achieving full e-governance in Oyo state.

He tweeted “The next step in the process of achieving our plan for e-governance is business process automation, to fully automate and digitise the approval process of all government activities and make it more efficient”

“We have deployed high speed internet and intranet connectivity across all MDAs in the secretariat, and put in place structures for the implementation of statewide productivity and collaborative tools, official emails and capacity building for all civil servants”

“The next step in the process of achieving our plan for e-governance is business process automation, to fully automate and digitise the approval process of all government activities and make it more efficient”
