The Oyo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has announced the withdrawal of the list of returning officers to control Oyo State Local Government polls in the 33 local councils in the state.
In a press publication signed on Saturday by Engr. Akeem Olatunji, the Publicity Secretary of the state party stated that the decision to remove the list was as a result of a complaint received from different chieftains in the party.
The full statement reads: “This is to announce the withdrawal of the earlier list of returning officers appointed to monitor Oyo 2021 Local Government Congress in the 33 local councils in the State.
“The decision was arrived at after careful consideration of complaints received by the party.
“Any inconveniences caused is hereby regretted as the party will communicate appropriately in due course.”
