Makinde Endorses Arapaja For PDP S/West Chairman

An ex-governor of Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, has gotten Seyi Makinde’s backing for the Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.


Seyi Makinde said Arapaja was selected by party leaders across the six states of the zone, to be the party’s candidate for the Zonal Congress, he made this disclosure at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.


Makinde emphasised that the journey for PDP to recover federal power begins at the zonal Congress as he promised to continue to reach out to discontented members to seek unity and form a formidable force to regain Nigeria in 2023.

Hon Dayo Ogungbenro, the caretaker zonal chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, in his welcome statement, revealed that the party leaders met last year and pondered on the way forward for the party with several offices to be equally shared and this would be made public on Wednesday.
