News reaching us states that the governing council of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, is set to call of the six-month industrial action by its lecturers as a date for Resumption will soon be agreed upon.
Our source also mentioned that a meeting with Joint Action Committee (JAC), has been scheduled for today, Tuesday 16th, August 2022 while security meeting will hold later in the week.
When contacted, the Registrar of the university, Dr. Kayode Ogunleye said: “Not yet, the process is on and resumption is in earnest”.
In the meantime, there have been several efforts from government to make the unions resolve all impending issues that may be stopping academic activities on campus, with the recent meeting the unions held with Oyo State government last month.
