LAUTECH: Oyo Govt To Pay of N8 Billion to Osun Govt Over Asset Sharing

The Oyo State Government has approved the payment of a sum of N8 billion to the Osun state government as a part of the assets sharing agreement signed when Oyo state took over the sole ownership responsibilities of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH, Ogbomoso in November 2020.

The state commissioner for education, science, and technology, barrister Olasunkanmi Olaleye, disclosed this on Tuesday while briefing the state house correspondents after the state executive council meeting held at the executive council chamber, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.

According to barrister Olaleye, the payment will spread over three years, stressing that N1 billion will be paid in January and December 2021 respectively while N3 billion will be paid in 2022 and the last N3 billion will be paid in 2023.
