A woman, Mrs. Ngozi Onadeko has emerged as the new Commissioner of Police for Oyo State.
Mrs Onadeko will be the first woman to occupy the position in the Pace-setter state after Mr Nwachuckwu Enwonwu, who also took over from Mr Shina Olukolu 7 months ago.
According to police sources, the order was given on Monday by the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and is to be effected immediately along with those of other commissioners of police to various commands.
However, as at the time of filing this report, the State Police Public Relations Officer, who was also recently promoted to the rank of Chief Suprintendent of Police, CSP Olugbenga Fadeyi, could not be reached for comment as text message or calls to his line has not be replied.
