Incoming Iyaloja General of Oyo, Abeo Debunks Violence Allegation During Coronation



Following allegations by the National Association of Nigerian Traders (NANT)
of possible violence during the installation of the new Iyaloja General of Oyo state, Princess Folasade Azeezat Nurudeen Abeo, She has refuted the claim, stating that the installation would instead bring peace, progress, and development to the majority of traders.


This information was provided in a statement that Abeo Oosa, as he is well known, personally signed and made accessible to press reporters in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

She insisted that the ceremony for her installation as Iyaloja-General of Market Traders Association of Nigeria (MATAN) Southwest will take place in a calm setting with the involvement of law enforcement agencies to maintain order.


However, Abeo urged NANT and its participants to publicly express how their dissatisfaction with her installation was caused by it.

She argued that due of her honesty and royal background, it is not in her character to engage in media conflict with anyone.

Princess Abeo maintained that, she is not in any way planning to embark on any unlawful event in Oyo State, stressing that all necessary permissions had been secured, while her concern is the betterment of all market women and traders in Oyo State and Southwest at large.

Abeo Oosa as foundly called disclosed this in a release personally signed and made available to news men in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

She maintained that her installation as Iyaloja-General of Market Traders Association of Nigeria (MATAN) Southwest would be conducted under peaceful atmosphere where no hoodlums will hijack the show with the presence of the Law Enforcement Agencies engaged to ensure orderliness.


Abeo however challenged NANT and its members to come out in a clear term and state where her installation had brought discomfort to them.

She argued that due of her honesty and royal background, it is not in her character to engage in media conflict with anyone.

The improvement of all market women and traders in Oyo State and the Southwest as a whole is Princess Abeo’s concern, she insisted, adding that she has the relevant approvals in place and has no intention of engaging in any illegal activity in Oyo State.
