In Ibadan, 20 in EFCC Net for Interet Fraud

The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reported receiving at least 20 accused internet fraudsters from officers of the Nigerian Army’s 12 Field Engineering Regiment in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

In stement released by te commission, the accused were apprehended by the Nigerian Army during a raid in Ijagun, Odogbolu, Ogun state.

Suspects include: Azeez Hameed Busayo, Olubor Chuks Winner, Amusa Abdulhakeem, Osoko Adesola David, Diyaolu Daniel Damilola, Olunlade Quadri Olamilekan, Amaje Kelly Armstrong, Akorede Olaleye Tope, Owonifari Niyi Sanwiyu.

Others are Ganiyu Olamide Sodiq, Onasanya Taiwo Adeniyi, Ajayi Muhaymin Adesola, Asenuga Ridwan Ayotomiwa, Bamgboye Tobiloba Quadri, Ayede Opeyemi Oluwaseun,Oseni Abolore Ismail, Olaniyan Mayowa Emmanuel, Akanni Qudus Olaleye and Onasile Abiodun Sunday.

Eleven automobiles, twenty-nine phones, and suspected hard narcotics were recovered from the suspects. The Army is still holding the vehicles that were seized from them.

The inquiry has so far resulted in the indictment of 19 of the twenty people arrested.

As soon as the inquiry is completed, they will be charged in court the statement reads.
