“As an administration, if you are not carried along, properly trained and exposed, we will be wasting our time. You are the one to implement whatever we want to do and also ensure that you are adequately qualified for the work.
“I spoke with civil servants throughout the campaign, and many stated that their salaries were late, I promised that there would be a GSM date which is the 25th.
“At that time, training, recruitment, conversion, and promotion were all at embargo, but when we arrived, we lifted the embargo. Nearly everyone has received promotion so far”, Makinde pointed out.
He continued: “Conversion and recruitment have both been cleared. Therefore, we shall keep taking care of the civil servants in Oyo State.
“One thing that is unique is the fact that Nigerian and indeed Oyo State were going through serious economic challenges. For us, we will keep placing a high priority on building Oyo State’s human capability.
“We will continue to give this administration our best effort. But those who receive much also have to give much,” Governor Makinde assured.
