A fire outbreak has razed the Trailer Park in Akinyele in Local Government Area of Oyo State.
It was reported that the fire started in the early hours of Wednesday but the cause of the fire is yet to be known.
Responding to media personnel after the incident, the media aide to the caretaker chairman of Akinyele Local Government corroborated the tragic incident.
His said, “Early this morning, the caretaker chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Taoreed Jimoh Adedigba received a call about a fire incident at trailer park of Akinyele Local Government.
“The fire incident which razed some shops which total number is yet to be known started around 4 am this morning. No one could ascertain the source of the fire.
“The caretaker chairman of Akinyele Local Government Hon. Taoreed, immediately rushed to the point of the incident as he got the report after contacting all the necessary security personnel such as the fire service, police officers, and Amotekun corps.
“Hon. Taoreed Adedigba Jimoh on his arrival at the scene of the incident, commended the efforts of Alakinyele of Akinyele, Oba James Odeniran, officers and men of the fire service and other security outfits for being proactive, noting that their efforts prevented the fire from extending to the other side of the market”.
