BREAKING: Ido LG Election Postponed, To Hold Sunday, 23rd May




The new date for the postponed Ido local government Polls has been revealed by the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC). It will take place tomorrow, Sunday 23rd of May, 2021.

Aare Isiaka Olagunju, Chairman of the Commission, made this known on Saturday while briefing journalists at the headquarters of the commission in Ibadan.

It was earlier reported that the commission postponed electoral activities in the Ido local government be because the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP was absent on the ballot papers.

He further added that the postponed election will hold between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm and movement will be restricted in the local government area.

Olagunju subsequently apologized for any inconvenience this might cause while advising the electorates to come out en-masse to exercise their right to vote in the election.
