The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde is meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Sources said the meeting began immediately after the Federal Executive Council which held earlier today.
It is also reported that the President also met with His Imperial Majesty, Adeyeye Ogunwusi Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, and the Ondo state Governor; Rotimi Akeredolu at his residence, stating that the meeting was held with the governors and the monarch solely because of the insecurity plaguing in South West.
Governor Seyi Makinde gave details of what he discussed with the president in the meeting through a tweet thread which reads “This afternoon, I met with His Excellency, President @MBuhari to brief him on the security situation in Oyo State and seek collaborations required for some of our intended security plans to work effectively. I asked for greater synergy between the state and federal security agencies. Also, I requested collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service for proper documentation of foreign nationals working in mines in the state. Mr President promised to look into these issues.”
