Seyi Makinde, the executive governor of Oyo State, has given his approval for the complete restoration and renovation of the state’s Eruwa and Ido towns’ highways.
Makinde revealed this at Idere, Ibarapa Central Local Government, saying, “The decision was reached during our Executive Council Meeting at Saki, this morning, even though previous governments have awarded these road contracts in the past, but nothing was seen. The company will be dealt with, and we’ll make sure to get the Oyo State money back.”
Makinde will launch the state’s Ibarapa region’s development project during the interim as part of his Omi Tuntun 2.0 campaign there.
The project is one of the state’s priorities for promoting widespread development across the state’s five regions and minimizing the marginalization of the Ibarapa region, which has been ingrained by previous governments in the state that sets the pace, in the state that leads the way.
