Saki United FC’s management has pleaded for assistance from the Oyo state government and other corporate bodies, stating that it might not honor its next fixture in the current AITEO Cup.
After handing Sokoto Professionals a crushing 2-0 defeat on Tuesday in Minna, Niger State, Saki United revealed that it had not received any support from the government to carry out its match against Sokoto, most likely due to a bureaucratic bottleneck.
The Saki United FC thanked Barr. Rotimi Alli, the chairman of the Ibadan Football Association (IFA), for providing the state AITEO CUP representatives with both moral and financial support in the lead-up to the Championship.
The team requested assistance from Oyo State Governor Engr. Seyi Makinde, a devoted soccer fan, so that it could travel to Sokoto for its upcoming match against Katsina United.
The club was in good spirits following Tuesday’s triumph and was aware that it was representing all IFA League teams, so as a result, it will strive for another victory in its next game, according to Badmos, who vowed to not let down the state or IFA.
