Oyo Assembly passes Enterprise, Employment Trust Fund bill



The Adebo Ogundoyin led Oyo state House of Assembly has passed the Oyo State Enterprise and Employment Trust Fund Bill.



The bill, which was sponsored by Mr. Seyi Adisa of the Afijio State Constituency, was assented to by the house after clearing the third reading in the house plenary on Friday.



According to Hon. Adisa, the bill aims to assist small and medium-sized businesses in obtaining funding and support.



He emphasized that the bill will provide training to state youths and people in order to make them employable, fit for business, and suitable for employment prospects with state partners.


The bill was subsequently delivered to Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde, for his signature.



The legislator, who spoke through his director of communications, Sayo Aluko, expressed optimism about the Governor’s swift assent of the bill, claiming that it is a bill that is focused on the people of Oyo state.



”For the bill to have passed all the levels of reading on the floor on the 9th Assembly and sent to the Governor, there are high hopes that the Governor will assent it easily because its a very people-centric bill that will ensure that the kind of businesses in Oyo state has every chances of thriving,” he said.
